Q. How do I move InterMapper Flows to a new server?
A. Since InterMapper Flows needs to reside on the same server where InterMapper is installed, you should first follow the instructions for migrating InterMapper to a new server:
http://forums.dartware.com/viewtopic.php?t=23
When InterMapper has been installed to the new server, follow these steps to move InterMapper Flows to the new server:
1. Install InterMapper Flows fresh to the new server. This ensures the proper InterMapper Extensions are copied into place.
2. Move the netsaw.conf configuration file from the ns2flows directory on the old server to the ns2flows directory on the new server.
3. Move the ns2flows > SESSIONDB directory from the ns2flows > SESSIONDB directory on the old server to the ns2flows > SESSIONDB directory on the new server. This is the default location of the InterMapper Flows database. If the path to the database has been changed, ensure that the configuration on the new server reflects the new path. You can configure the database path using the Flows Settings > Advanced window.
The ns2flows directory is located:
* Windows: C:\Program Files\ns2flows
* Mac OS X: /Library/Application Support/ns2flows
* Linux: /opt/ns2flows |
